OEM Account Manager

Job Summary

The OEM Account Manager will be responsible for ensuring Thombert resources are used to meet and exceed existing OEM customer needs and expectations.  Primary functions are to maximize market share with major OEM customers, acquire new OEM customers, and to develop and maintain strong, professional relationships within each customer and at all levels.  While reporting to the Sales/Marketing Manager, the OEM Account Manager will work cooperatively as a member of the Thombert sales/marketing team to maximize our long-term sales growth and customer satisfaction.  Through developing and maintaining an excellent understanding of the forklift industry the OEM Account Manager must be seen as a highly trusted and respected business resource by our OEM customers.

Background & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business/marketing/sales management
  • 7+ years experience in selling major OEM accounts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong empathy and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude
  • Solid problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Ability to determine and understand customer needs and effectively communicate to customers how Thombert can most effectively meet those needs, relative to our competitors
