CNC Machine Operator - Newton, IA

As a CNC machine operator at Thombert, you will use blueprints, shop packets, and verbal instructions to set up and produce parts on machining centers. Duties and responsibilities include:

• Be able to set up, operate, sharpen and maintain all tooling and perform routine lubrication on above-named equipment, that such employee has to operate
• Determine that parts are within acceptable tolerances using appropriate measuring equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Know the machining characteristics of all materials used in the plant while maintaining a clean and orderly workplace

Prior Education, Training, Skills & Experience Desired

• HS grad or GED
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred
• 18 months machinist training or experience on CNC lathes
